So Cycle Hayling is 10 years old, and what a year to start our next 10 years.
If the Covid-19 lockdown has taught us one-thing, it’s that plenty of us want to cycle, and stay healthy doing it, but that Hayling’s cycling infrastructure is still woefully inadequate for most people.
Boris’ Gear Change means Hayling can change too. Tell us what what cycling should be like on Hayling, what’s needed, and where. Help us set priorities.

Government copies our Revive-A-Bike scheme!
Well, we were ahead of the game – our £50 Revive-A-Bike has done its work and now been superseded by the government £50 ‘Fix your bike’, but the 28 bikes we revived have been riding round the island for the last 2 months.

We’re starting up Cycle Havant
All of Hayling’s transport decisions are made in Havant Borough Council, and yet they don’t have any single body representing cycling and walking that they can talk to. So we’re just starting Cycle Havant to do just that, just on Facebook initially. Come and sign up here.
And we’re working on Cycle Hampshire
And because many of Havant’s transport decisions are made in Hampshire County Council, who also don’t have any single body representing cycling and walking, we’re working on that too.
