Note:

  • The video shows you a spacer to keep the brake pads separated once the wheel is removed. On some hydraulic disc brake systems, this is necessary to prevent losing brake fluid – it’s good practice to always use a spacer.
  • Your bike might have a through axle in which case you will need to remove it completely before you can separate the fork from the wheel.
