Act of remembrance for Tim Atkins
Tim was the cyclist killed on Eastern Road last week when he collided with another cyclist and was run over after falling into traffic.
The Portsmouth Cycle Forum has arranged an act of remembrance for Tim Atkins and a call for action, a call for the city council to finally take strong action to address the safety problems that affect all cyclists across Portsmouth. The event starts in Guildhall Square on Thursday at 5.30pm.
If you can attend, it would be good to show support for our friends in Portsmouth and, of course, Hayling Islanders who cycle across to Portsmouth.

Feedback on the Langstone cycle path
It’s been a while since we asked you for your views on the new cycle path in Langstone.
We passed on your views to the Project Manager. Thank you to those who responded.
Unfortunately, the project was costed before a new ruling that says all work undertaken on Langstone Road must now be undertaken after the evening rush hour and before the morning one. That significantly increases cost making the original project unviable. It’s being reviewed but it looks like it will have to be split into multiple stages.
